Oliver North, the former Marine implicated in the Iran-Contra scandal and current Fox News host, says allowing gays to serve openly in the military will lead to same-sex marriages in the military and the admission of pedophiles to the armed forces.

In an interview with Fox's Sean Hannity Thursday, North discussed what he sees as the implications of repealing the 17-year-old "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

"Now, here's what's next. NAMBLA members, same-sex marriages," North said, referring to the North American Man-Boy Love Association, a group that advocates for pedophilia. "Are chaplains in the US military going to be required to perform those kinds of rituals? Do they get government housing?"

First of all discussing anything with Fox's Sean Hannity is insane to begin with. For starters being gay is not against the law anymore...although States may vary on this subject...
so lets put it this way...it's not enforced anymore nor is anybody consider to be sick or unstable or committing a crime these days for being gay. Conclusion? There nothing wrong with being a Gay American. And therefore: technicality nothing wrong with being a gay solider. Now here is where Mr. North really goes deep in right-wing trickery thinking...using NAMBLA members and trying to group then with adult gays who are attracted to other adult gays. First of all what these guys in NAMBLA do is against the law. Pedophilia acts are even disturbing and disgusting for consenting adult gays to hear that people would do such an act to a child. Don't get the two mixed up. Gays are not into Pedophilia. Plus; A Gay couple can adopt a child. But I really doubt if the laws will ever change in favor of a Pedophile adopting a kid. Conclusion? Pedophilia is against the law. Being Gay is not a crime. Nice try Mr. North.

Psst Ollie, chaplains can not be ordered to perform any rituals not approved by their religion. Further, the leadership of any religion has to authorized a member of its clergy entry into the armed forces. If again in the alternate reality where Ollie hangs out DOD were to order chaplains to perform same-sex marriage, the RCC (and probably other denominations) would pull its priests faster than you could say incoming. And they wouldn't come back until DOD surrendered.
