Does anybody else here feel that "Coast to Coast AM" is disintegrating?
I used to love this program when Art Bell hosted it, but George Noory is so gullible. And I apologize for being emotional about this issue, but it is very emotional to me.

He does not believe in Global Warming.
He does not believe there is any possibility of a viral Pandemic
He thinks the H1N1 is fake
Last month he was rude to Linda Moulten Howe for disputing him on medical issues that are firmly asserted and validated
He believes Skull and Bones is responsible for everything that is destroying this country.

He is right that we are in stark jeopardy, but woefully ignorant as to why.

Arrrgggghhh.. I am sorry. Perhaps this post does not belong here, but I am so furious and agonized over what is happening here, and somebody like Noory ought to know better. He comes off as an ignorant, uneducated goon. When I KNOW he is smarter than this.

1. Cuckoos Nest to Cuckoos Nest radio
I would occassionally listen in to C-C AM, with the same curiosity that one has to poke their head in the nearest insane asylum and gawk at the inmates.

At least Art Bell had the decency to remove himself to a trailer clear out in BFE Nevada desert.

3. Both him and Ian Punnent are horrible
Punnent is the worse of the two.

I wish Art would take back his show full time

15. Hey - I Like Ian Punnett!
He's a very smart guy and a great interviewer - perhaps my favorite.

I'm curious - what don't you like?

5. Well, H1N1 certainly didn't live up to the hype that the media bestowed on it. Either did the bird
flu.

6. That's because President Obama's plan saved us from it becoming a terrible disaster here.
Edited on Sat Feb-06-10 05:58 PM by Ian David
Enough people got vaccinated that we appear to have a critical mass of herd immunity to it.

Plus, there are hand sanitizing stations everywhere and people are coughing and sneezing into their elbows instead of their hands now.

19. You didn't hear about paralysis and miscarriage after the flu shots??
I know about those. People who were paralyzed after taking it. Women who had a miscarriage immediately after taking the shot.

7. as a recent "fan of C to C I'm sorry, I have to laugh. Noory is an amiable idiot, and
you must listen carrying a truckload of salt with you. His habit of inviting on vicious critics of Obama (including birthers) is abominable. But it hasn't changed all that much from the early years. Just slightly different subjects of paranoia.

8. I gave up on George Noory several years ago when he gave an entire show to that tool Ben Chertoff
As in cousin of Michael "of the Devil" Chertoff of the Bush Crime Family. Ben was the editor of Hearst Publishing's "Popular Mechanics" at the time and he was responsible for their sickening 9/11 whitewash issue. Naturally he claimed cousin "of the Devil" and his buddies Chimp & Darth had no influence on him whatsoever.

Yeah, right....... :eyes:

Noory is a right wing hack. He needs to hang it up. If Art can't do the show anymore, pull the plug.

He fills in once in awhile and they have Art repeats on Saturdays from 8 to midnight (central).

12. Sure it's disintigrating.
I do like George Noory better than Art Bell, though, and I do not necessarily believe in global warming. Bell wouldn't even allow people to discuss the Illuminati topic and would just interrupt them and hang up on them and call them crazy.

I think the problem with Coast to Coast is the listeners think it's supposed to be the "Be All, End All" radio talk show, when there are a lot of alternatives out there now, especially online. I like to try to tune in once in a while for old times sake but I find the bumper music tiresome and they play too much music in between talking now, which I don't recall used to be the case.

Other than that, ya never know what you're gonna get, and I kinda like that.

I think H1N1 was hyped up over nothing, but that there will be a more serious strain coming along.

Noory doesn't mind talking off the top of his head and not caring how he comes across too much, and he does make an ass of himself sometimes that way but I kinda like that.

To me, what Noory thinks is less important than whether he allows callers with opposing points of view to speak their mind.

Some good talking points for this thread might be, where **DO** we get our information, and who is worth listening to?

14. I understand where you're coming from ...
... about George Noory.

He is a pretty good craftsman of his trade. He usually asks good questions of his guests, he usually gives them time to answer fully, he is sometimes almost too respectful and nice to callers ... letting them talk too much.

But I do dislike the rightward drift of the program sometimes. I send an email to George and the producers every time he puts on Jerome Corsi, for instance. I always remind them that the success of the show is partly because it stays away from partisan politics.

I like Ian Punnett aand I've noticed that Art Bell has been hosting more often.

I think sending emails to Noory and the producers whenever they have a right-wing guest on is important and will have an impact -- Corsi hasn't been a guest for quite a while from what I can tell -- so it might make a difference.

Me, I don't care much about ghost stories and UFOs and near death experiences, but I enjoy the end of the world stuff, I like that he has Gerald Celente and Mish on quite often. I get a kick out of the conspiracy theories and Jim Marrs and Nick Begich are on regularly. So, all in all, it's still a pretty good radio talk show, but no doubt it was better when Art Bell was the permanent, full-time host.

22. Corsi is mentally ill or an agent of an agenda.
More likely a front for an anti-Democratic/peace/justice agenda (however ignorant as an individual)

16. Yes, Noory has gotten worse
Art Bell's show kicked ass, Noory was never in the same league.

But at least he was tolerable. But yea, in the last year or two he has put on more and more right wingers and he is letting his politics show too much. It ruins the show.

Then he pretends he isn't partisan when asked about it, its absurd.

Ian Punnett is actually a bit better, but I don't like the topics he usually is into, like religious stuff.

I'm afraid that Art Bell has no equal and it is too bad he retired and only hosts every now and then these days.

But even Art Bell himself isn't as good as he was in his prime. He sounds disengaged when he does hosts every once in a while and he doesn't have the passion he used to have.

18. How does fractured stuff disintegrate further?
I mean, really? If you, as I do, listen to Art Bell's "Somewhere in time," you wouldn't know that anything had changed in 15 years. "Ghost to Ghost" is a Talking Heads song: "Same as it ever was."

preying on insanity of weak minds.

One exception is the deceased Robert Anton Wilson as guest.

Art Bell was skilled at humoring his guests into getting as kookoo as they wanted. I stopped listening when he left.
