I'm white, liberal as can be, and own firearms. I even have a CCW permit. You'll rarely see me in the Gundgeon, though. It's not an issue for me. I don't care if you own firearms, or if someone else doesn't. I don't care if people use the terminology from the AWB to identify particular firearms. Why should I care about that?

I don't care if people refer to a removable magazine as a clip. Why would that matter to me?

I don't care if the police department knows that I own firearms. It's a non-issue.

I own firearms. I've owned them for many years. It's not a passion. I also own fishing tackle. Lots of people own neither and don't like firearms and fishing tackle. Affects me not at all. There are many, many issues of far more immediate concern than some theory that they're coming for our firearms. I prefer to address those issues.

Perhaps I am seeing sarcasm where there is none? But if I AM inferring your meaning correctly, then there is nothing rational about it. An AK-47 is NOT some magical killing machine. And anyone that has a basic understanding of firearms would know that a fully automatic in the hands of anyone less that a full professional is about as accurate as playing lawn darts. Its the irrational fear and ignorance of firearms that lead people to conclusions like that.

Besides, fully automatic weapons are so rare in the hands of the general public that it really is not an issue.
