Palin's Campaign Against the "R-word" Hits Snag with Limbaugh
Source: Yahoo

Sarah Palin's campaign against the derogatory usage of the word "retard" collided with her campaign to maintain her popularity with conservatives today, with confusing results.

A Palin spokeswoman seemed to back away from earlier criticism of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh. Yesterday, when asked for comment on Limbaugh's use of the "r" word in a recent broadcast, Palin spokeswoman told Greg Sargent of the Washington Post, "Governor Palin believes crude and demeaning name-calling at the expense of others is disrespectful." Today, Stapleton claims the statement was meant generally and she was not specifically referring to Limbaugh. Still, she declined to say that Palin believes Limbaugh's statements were acceptable. Sargent reprinted the email he sent Stapleton in which he specifically asked about Limbaugh's statement.

Palin's non-rebuke rebuke of Limbaugh comes after she called on President Obama, earlier in the week, to fire his chief of staff after using the word. According to the Wall Street Journal, Rahm Emanuel called liberal activists who wanted to run ads against conservative Democrats "f------ retarded" in a closed-door meeting at the White House. On her Facebook page, Palin likened Emanuel's "slur on all God's children with cognitive and developmental disabilities" to using the "N-word," something she deemed "unacceptable" and "heartbreaking." Emanuel later issued an apology to Special Olympics chairman and CEO Tim Shriver.

However, Palin's conservative cohort Rush Limbaugh took offense to people, presumably including Palin, protesting Emanuel's remark. On his radio show, Limbaugh lamented that "our political correct society is acting like some giant insult's taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards." That comment caused Greg Sargent to request a reaction from Palin's spokeswoman. It also caused confusion over whether Palin believes Limbaugh's public statements - like Emanuel's private ones - crossed the line.

The story now has legs. Let's help expose the opportunistic hypocrite for what she is.

9. There was some talk for a while
that she might have had a falling out with the Divine Miss P. Gryphen at The Immoral Minority reported this on December 13.

SHORT TIMER? . . . It's gone viral in watering spots around town. Still more a question than certifiable fact: Is Magnum Staplegun out with Sarah? There's no sign of her on the book tour and friends say she may have to stake out a spot under that high-centered bus where Sarah tosses people who have served their purpose.

The above comes from Sheila Toomey, of the Alaska Ear. (You will be hearing much more about her when Celtic Diva finishes going through her pile of e-mails.)

Some of you may remember that I mentioned in the comments section a rumor that I had been told that one of Palin's closest female associates was suffering such serious depression that there was some concern of suicide.

Though the source is very close to Palin, I only heard it second hand so could not ask WHICH female associate it was. However my first instinct was that it was Meg.

According to my source this associate had been the victim of verbal abuse by Sarah multiple times and she simply hated her job, and her life. Now I have no idea if the person they were referring to was Meg, but I do know that she seems to have been replaced by, Harper Collins flunky, Tina Andreadis, and that even before that she had been quiet for a number of weeks.

All I can say is, run Meg. Run as fast as you can and never look back. You can have your old life back, and be surrounded by sanity, instead of Palin insanity. Just go towards the light Meg, go towards the light. We are waiting for you here on the other side.

Maybe Meg threatened to go public with all she knows and Sarah put her back on staff to keep her quiet. Who knows? She sure could make some bucks writing a tell-all, that's for sure.

5. Palin knows that rules don't apply to the right wing
so it's perfectly OK for a pig like limbo to use the "r word". That''s why so many repugs have affairs, run up deficits, dodge military service, you name it... it's OK when they do it.

12. Limbaugh's statement was only heard by a handful of radio listeners.
Dittoheads, who agree with and mimic everything he says.

Emmanual, on the other hand was speaking in front of an entire ROOM full of liberals, who ratted him out.

15. Aw, man...
And here I was hoping we'd get to see a cage match between Sarah and the "great" El Rushbo! :bounce:

My money'd be on Sarah, seein' as how it seemed that one of the HIGHEST recommendations for electing her to the post of VPOTUS was that "Sarah Palin can field-dress a MOOSE!"

:wtf::shrug:

Still....
:wow: Y'all see where I'm going with this, don't you...:yoiks:

Bring the dropcloths, rubber gloves, and plastic tarps, gang.
