Want to understand the rape of the United States - read this
Edited on Fri Feb-05-10 05:18 PM by ThomWV
Read this short article and you will come to understand the real rape of this country. What you will read about in a page is how well run businesses are milked of every dime they are worth before being discarded. Its enough to make a person sick. Notice who is involved in this economic/financial rape.

One legendary private equity shop, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), has perfected the ability to extract exorbitant sums of cash from companies in a perfectly legal way. Take a look at the recent stunt it pulled on Dollar General.

KKR and fellow investors Citigroup (NYSE: C) and Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) took Dollar General private in July 2007 at a cost of $7.3 billion. They released the company back to the public markets this past November, offering about 10% of the shares in an IPO and retaining the rest. Following its launch, the company was valued at $7.2 billion.

Now, it looks like Dollar General's investors lost $100 million on the deal, so where's all this profit I'm talking about?

For that, you have to examine how Dollar General was used while it was private. When KKR bought Dollar General in 2007, it and fellow investors put up just $2.8 billion and borrowed the remaining $4.5 billion. At that time, Dollar General had just $260 million in debt, the interest on which it could easily cover with its earnings."

1. The country...the businesses that run the government , at least, have become
vampires..sucking the lifeblood out of everything around them just so that they can remain alive.

Ironically, once the host has been depleted, the vampire/parasite will inevitably perish as well.

8. These gentle folks at KKR live in mansions, drive very expensive cars, have yachts,
wear the finest clothes, dine at all the best restaurants, and are considered to be "smart".

That, in a nutshell, is why the world is being eaten alive by the greedy. We non-rich are too fucking stupid to see that these people are not smart, they're selfish and evil. Yet we idolize them because they are the elites.

Sickening.

But thank you for posting this ThomWV.
