All he is doing is pissing off his fellow democrats, getting nothing passed and setting up November 2010 for a repeat of November 1994!! Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. Uh huh
I happen to know Harry was really pissed off about having to take the Medicare expansion out of the health care bill but he was told, in no uncertain terms, by the White House pit bull (Rahm) to make the deal with Lieberman. Reid is my senator and, as much as he can disappoint me, he is far more liberal than most here would admit, more like a left leaning centrist. The administration is far to the right of him.

6. Amazing, isn't it?
People here yesterday screaming how it's not the President's job to do the Senate's work...blah...blah...blah

But he got what he wanted from them every time he stepped in there with them, didn't he?

9. The Fan Club will blame anything that isn't named Obama. The Senate,

Republicans... hell, they were blaming Ed Schultz a few weeks ago, saying media criticism had neutered the President's noble efforts. They're ridiculous people, little different from the "Bushbots" they were mocking a few short years ago.

But continually getting kicked by "fellow Democrats" ( and I use the term loosely) is another matter entirely. You don't have to look too far.

BTW....Don't get your hopes up for a '94 repeat. Those days are long gone. RW'ers have shown themselves to be utter failures at governing.

8. How many times does the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party...
need to get kicked in the nuts by this White House before realizing that.....

"There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans. I want us to compete for that great mass of voters that want a party that will stand up for working Americans, family farmers, and people who haven't felt the benefits of the economic upturn."---Paul Wellstone

11. I find the +1 thing ...
.. a tad bit lazy. So, here's agreeing with you the less speedy way, Bvar. As far as I can tell, the closest thing we have to a Wellstone Democrat in the Senate, is the man who took that seat back from the Repukes, Al Franken. The rest of 'em could learn a lot from him.

12. Bernie Sanders
who is not a Democrat, but who is probably closer to Wellstone than anyone else. I'd also put Feingold in that category. Franken is turning out better than I'd hoped and is certainly better than Klobuchar, but he's no Wellstone - yet.
