What the hell is going on in the mortgage business?
Why are all these people telling me my mortgage payments are too high and how the hell do they know how high my mortgage paymemts are?

I'm getting 10 to 15 e-mails a day and, now, they are calling me on the phone. Sounds like a scam - am I right on this?

2. You need to opt out.
Usually the ones you get in the mail come with a note on them letting you know you can opt out of prescreened offers.

2. https://www.optoutprescreen.com/

4. I think they're desperate
With all these foreclosures coming, they will lose a lot of money unless they sucker more people into getting home equity credit lines or refinancing.

That way more people will be in bigger debt on their homes.

Seems like a great big Ponzi scheme to me.

5. I'm within a few months of paying my mortgage off
and if they know what my payments are, they must know how closeI am to the big day when I am mortgage free. It must be a scam of some sort.
