Chuck Todd, Republican
Chuck Todd just said on Hardball that he was "giddy" over the prospect of many more seats in the Senate, AND now HOUSE, being, as they say, "up for grabs".

It was all completely fabricated "finger in the wind stuff", with the "experts"; but once that narrative gets into the public discourse it's very hard to counter after a certain point. I hope the White House caught that exchange...

If Todd is asked about this he will no doubt say that "as a journalist" he was "giddy" for the "interesting" coverage. Please.

Haven't we been to this rodeo\charade before?

The media is the problem. Period.

4. The media is certainly a problem, but it's not THE problem.
The real problem is that most of our so-called representatives have been bought by corporations. They don't even fuckin' deny it anymore. The Supreme Court just gave their stamp of approval to the idea of buying congress-critters.

7. I disagree. The media is THE problem. Our reps couldn't sell out so easily without a dumbed down
citizenry.

Almost all of our media is BS corporate PR now. Our representatives are free to take $s without much notice and subsequent backlash.

We won't fix a damned thing in terms of corruption until we get some measure of the free press back.

8. It was Chris Matthews that was making me ill...his leg was definitely in tingle mode at the prospect
of the repukes taking over the Senate - I had to turn it off.

11. They cover themselves by spinning that they love political excitement, not predictability
The way comedians said they preferred Shrub in office because he gave them so much material. Yeah, hang the public good, material is what matters.
