It's not about "allowing gays in the military" - as our idiot talking heads keep parroting. We have always served in the military, for thousands of years and since earliest written history.

This is about accepting it, and moving on. I suspect the rest of the world has to finish going through the proverbial seven stages though, shock, denial, grief, anger, etc., ending with acceptance.

3. I'm always surprised

how often the yapping heads say things like "allowing gay's to serve". Who in their right mind thinks the US military is now or has ever been "free" of homosexuals?

The putz from the family research council thinks the poor heteros won't want to sign up anymore because there will be gay guys in the barracks. Fucking idiot and a half that one.
