Just saw the documentary "This Film Has Not Yet Been Rated" about what a slimy organization the MPAA is. The people on their panel are kept secret under the guise that they're average family folks when their really a bunch of middle aged film industry insiders with adult children. He was an unelected cultural bullshit protector who was severely irresponsible with his power.

Sorry for his nearest and dearest that he died, but "one of the good guys" is hardly how I'd describe him.
