Obama's post-beatdown-of-GOP-house poll bump continues upward

Rasmussen:

1/28: 44% approve, 55% disapprove

2/2: 50% approve, 49% disapprove

(+12 point swing)

1/28: 47% approve, 47% disapprove

2/2: 51% approve, 42% disapprove

Why does this matter? Because it gives the White House a data point to show that what they did last Wednesday and Friday... namely, taking on the Republicans directly and forcefully.... works. It's what the people want.

The people don't want "wishy-washy"... they don't want "bipartisanship". They want ass-kicking, and fighting for what's right.

And maybe this will get through to the White House.


I think Plouffe already gets it... the uptick started once he was put back in charge of the message.

People respond to leadership. Obama is acting like the President he said he would be and his base will rally to him as he does.

3. Obama just needs to keep his spine strong, continue the
straight talking, and slap some people around to actually solve problems. If he does those things, the electorate will support him.

At least that is my take anyway.
