First I see Joe Scarborough NOW they have Tucker Carlson ripping up all of the Dems. It's seriously pissing me off. Why not have Olbermann - or Allison Stewart or someone speak about the Dems.

At least they have Cafferty on CNN.

I watched Tweety every day in 2004--until about October when I'd had enough of his propaganda and slanted panels. Ugh. I wish I had all of those hours back. But nothing they could say stopped me from backing Kerry and working as a volunteer for his election. It's just so sickening the way cable news was slanted--then and now. I'm watching more and more PBS these days. KO is the exception.

They treat the Republicans the same way--they have Scarface & Fucker talk about them too.

9. MSNBC requires shows to have at least a two-to-one ratio of Kool-Aid drinkers to thinking people.
Phil Donahue mentioned on Bill Moyers Journal that when he had his show on MSNBC, he was told that he could not have a liberal or progressive on alone -- but he could have a "conservative" on alone -- and if he did have a thinking person on, they had to be flanked by two Kool-Aid drinkers.

10. Because they're afraid of a real debate
or an honest competition of ideas, lest their corporate master doesn't approve.

Their true nature just wells up inside and gushes out. Democrats are emetic to them.

If enough people start complaining they'll start to listen. I just e-mailed them and I feel a lot better.

16. that's what I wondered myself
It also bothers me to see them spend at least 24 hours before such an event asking people "what will (x) say about (y)?" The people of whom they ask such pointless questions have no idea of the answer, only guesses. And, guess what, all you have to do is wait a few hours and the facts will be manifest. Why not wait until after the event, as the news used to do? No, instead what we get afterward is a bunch of people (with axes galore to grind) trying to blot out the event as it happened by telling us what was REALLY said, what REALLY happened, as opposed to what everyone who watched it heard and saw. I had to turn off the pre-show coverage, probably will find myself driven to do the same to the after show wrap-up. What's important to me is the debate but to MSM it is only the blather before and after that matters. And when the blather departs from fact in the days following, the mythology survives, not the truth. No one ever corrects the record and god knows it is not for lack of time.

20. Because the GOP bought control of broadcast media in the 80s and 90s and Dems didn't
even pay attention to what they were doing back then.

21. It's April 26, 2007
These debates are rather irrelevant. Nobody is watching and nobody cares this early into the game.
