$100M to be given as a BONUS!, a freaking bonus! Hell, yeah, I'm ready for a freaking rich tax, with a special one for these lying, thieving bankers. Here we sit with no dependents worrying every year about having to pay in on the maybe the millionth zero following the decimal on this guy's BONUS!....and he doing this to thumb his nose at the President. Spiteful SOB, with a HUUUUUUUGGGGEEEEE sense of entitlement.

How many legislators does that *hole own?

Edited to correct title, written in a moment of seeing red....

Starting with Boards of Directors.

2. This should be headline news.
People are starving in this country for lack of a job--ANY job--and this person is getting paid one hundred million dollars, not as wages, but as a BONUS--a BONUS for excellent performance--in response to work that resulted in the company going into the toilet.

There is something very, very wrong with this country.

18. The entire issue, including the fact of the unprecedented disparity of income between those dudes
and the rest of us, should be shoved in the face of every American. Just as the idea that any transfer of wealth that would happen now through raising taxes on the ultra-rich would be just a step in the direction of getting back our money that "transfered" to them by Bush ought to be voiced any time someone talks about "class warfare, etc. I'm so sick of Dems not finding a way to counter the lies of the reich wing.

I think you possibly mean Goldman Sachs? Not that it makes it any better, of course.

20. Noo! That would be class war!
I really wish we had a pearl clutching smiley.
:banghead: will have to do.

Of course if it were really a class war, we'd just take his bonus and use it for job creation.

23. The funny thing
is that there is nothing new about this. 100 million dollar bonuses have been going out the door to CEOs and other executive management types since the 1980s. Micheal Eisner (Disney) CEO, took $300 million one year while consuming federal low income housing grants for his workers and battling against unions fighting for living wages and improved benefits for his workers. He is but one small example.

Our landed aristocracy has been taking us to the cleaners since Reagan, cutting jobs / salaries / benefits, to "reduce costs" while pocketing $100 million dollar checks for the effort. The more aggressive they have been at destroying the American industrial base and with it our economy, the larger the checks they have received.

Only a few years back these guys were seen as the "captains of industry" for doing the same things that we now seem to see as the behavior of "robber barons". It is a good change.
