She then votes to undo any/all social programs that are debated in the House. Except those that benefit her of course.

Bachmann used welfare to enrich herself.

She sells herself as an anti-welfare fiscal 'conservative'.

I guess she's angry that she may have had to pay tax on her $250,000 'gift' from Uncle Sam and his 'evil' federal government.

In fact if it meant the Minny state Dem party (DFL) would adopt this strategy I'd gladly sacrifice this OP and be glad to see it wiped off the front page if it meant action.

Everything in the picture is slightly out of focus except the lettering on the sign. Even the rest of the sign is out of focus, and it's the same distance from the camera as the lettering on the sign. That makes me think some other sign was photoshopped.

Real or not, the signmaker apparently didn't learn "'i' before 'e' except after 'c' and when it sounds like 'ay'."

12. I'm emailing this to the Mn Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. That's Mn's version of the Dem party.

I hope they listen and adopt a similar strategy and put up a similar billboard campaign.

I think this could have a tremendous effect on helping Dems defeat Bachnutt.

I think it would be a helpful strategy and billboard ads are pretty affordable.

14. I think you should shorten the message

Effective billboard designs should use 8 words or less for quicker impact.

Using that rule of thumb, I would include a photo or illustration of Bachmann (preferably one where she looks extra batshit crazy), and then have the text alongside read:

"Ask me about my $250,000 welfare subsidy"

I think an ad campaign with a couple different messages placed on billboards throughout Bachmann's district could be very effective.

To my understanding, billboard ads are a relatively cheap way to advertise.

17. I just cross posted in the Minny forums. and I am putting together an email to the Mn..

state Dem party including this photo/visual example.

I just want to run this past them. I think billboard ads are pretty cheap. They could be very effective if some strategy is employed regard location etc. Cheap+effective can be a big winner or at least help the Dems.

That's why I think the Dem party(Dem-Farmer-Laborer in Minnesota) in Minny would be quite open to this. Or perhaps some progressive advocacy Moveon type organization might also be interested.

But heck yeah, If I hear anything or if they actually take this seriously and start some kind of ad campaign similar to this, I'll def write an OP and keep everyone posted.

if you are rich and republican. It is like what Obama said to the Republicans at their retreat. Earmarks are only bad if they are for someone else's district.

This kind of welfare is fine for all of the farmers who are doing well, or better yet, let's pay out these farm subsidies to the enormous agri-businesses that are producing so called "food" that is laden with pesticides, herbicides, and antibiotics, that depletes the top soil for generations and stinks up the air for miles around from the manure ponds.
