I am so angry I could scream. I just heard a diatribe about how Clinton was "immoral". Yes, they are still focused on the Clenis.

I am so angry I am shaking. They wanted to start on Birth Certificate BS and I said that President Obama is probably one of the most Moral Presidents we have had in decades. His family lives their values, unlike so many I could mention. Not for one second do I regret my vote.

They are so goddamn hard-headed and fucking dumb it is impossible to get through to them. I respect the President for trying, but he has to realize, that this is not going to happen. This lady essentially ignored my argument by putting her hands over her ears!

JUST SAY IT, REPUBLICANS:

You do not respect President Barack Obama because he is BLACK. You think that he should not have been elected because he is BLACK. In your minds, he is inferior because he is BLACK.

This is all they see, and the Birther bullshit is all about RACE!

I remember a few years back when Randi Rhodes, who was appearing on C-SPAN slapped down a church lady type (name escapes me) with a few facts and she put her hand on her ears and started shouting, "I can't hear you!"

I don't think you should waste your time because they are so brainwashed with our media and jerks like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck that you can't get through to them as long as their racism and prejudices rule what they think. This bigotry is what Limbaugh and Beck tap into. I don't have an answer to fight this except to keep supporting progressive media shows and progressive candidates. Maybe shear numbers and determination will eventually break up this propaganda war by the right wing conservatives.

14. Oh brother. When will the Dems get over using the race card?

I'm sorry, but using the race card is getting very old. I'm a middle of the roader. I am more socially liberal but economically more conservative which makes me a libertarian in the eyes of most people. But a LOT of my friends are what you would call hard core conservatives. Not one of them hates/dislikes Obama because he is black, they don't like him because he is a liberal Democrat!

I really don't understand why so many Dems need to point at race as the reason why some repubs are the way they are. I am worried about Obama myself not because of his skin color but rather because of his views on guns. However that seems to be far on the backburner at this stage so I'm not so worried anymore.

I just fail to see why the dems seem to HAVE to put a repubs views into a box that the dem can easily identify with (race). Why can't Obama be hated/disliked by repubs because of the issues and for what he stands? Honestly, most conservatives I know are more afraid of his stance on a lot of social programs and healthcare more than anything else.

Most blogs that I have seen on occasion appear to be rantings of right wing extremists and not necessarily the views of the normal repub. Kind of like how a lot of repubs put all liberals into the "gay tree hugging socialist environmentalist wacko" box even though that isn't true of most liberals including the moderate liberals. The argument goes both ways, neither party are innocent.

The extremist views are the ones that get the most attention.

A new poll of more than 2,000 self-identified Republican voters illustrates the incredible paranoia enveloping the party and the intense pressure drawing lawmakers further and further away from political moderation.
The numbers speak for themselves -- a large portion of GOP voters think that President Obama is racist, socialist or a non-US citizen --
