THEY SHOOT HORSES, DON'T THEY--the character Gig Young played

in the movie reminded me of the book Who Moved My Cheese and the other crap that goes on in companies these days, workshops and stuff that makes out that losing your job is a good thing and an "opportunity." Oh, and books/articles that do the same thing.

(You can tell that movie impressed me a lot, can't you?)

1. I saw it when i was a kid and was sneaking into an R rated movie....

I barely remember it...

2. Watch it again. I did so recently. To me it's especially germane to these hard times.

It can also be seen as an allegory about life.

3. The dancers in that movie remind me of workers today...

doing everything they can to keep their jobs.
