not really media, the President is allowing the bu$h* tax cuts for the ultra rich to expire

bu$h* didn't have the clout to make them permanent and the current President is doing the right thing

3. Man, I hope he doesn't back down from that decision.
People are still as livid over that as they are over the bailouts. The trickle down theory doesn't trickle anymore. Let's work harder at growing from the ground up.

4. Now, now, they can't deviate from the script or they'll get a bad performance review
Didn't Patrick Henry say, "Give me Liberty or give me a bad performance review. On second thought, I don't need the liberty, just as long as I have a good performance review."

The RW Lie Machine writes the script, the "me too" Corporate Media says, "Me, too."

And if they stop saying "me, too", they probably won't be in their jobs that long.

5. Obama Promised To Make The Cuts For Those Under 250k Permanent
Booooshie pushed through those cuts in 2001 and only got it passed cause he promised that they were a "temporary cut"...a cruel ploy.

The problem at that time was "bracket creep"...wages had gone up in the 90s and middle class were being pushed into higher rates. President Obama during his campaign addressed this issue, proposing to keep the cuts in place for those who earned either 250 or 200k a year or less. For those over, they'll go from 28% to 35%...but when you're talking about millionaires and billionaires, they can afford it.

8. they were suppose to stimulate the economy and increase
revenue to the federal government........ they didn't do either, they just increased the national debt

the money was used by the rich to inflate the stock bubble some more and you see how that turned out....... the need for bank bail-outs

these cuts should have been repealed last year

11. They Caused States To Go Bust...
Lowering the tax rates hurt the states as they work off the IRS "bottom line". Add that to the unfunded mandates (NCLB) and I saw it as a deliberate punishment on the most populace states (all Democratic) as boooshie and his cronies fleeced the treasury and left this administration holding the bag.

I don't think all the cuts should be repealed...it did address a problem of bracket creep that pushed many in the middle class into paying higher taxes. But I'm fully in favor of letting the old rates return to those earning over $150k a year. But it doesn't matter what I say, it's up to Congress and I doubt we'd see a repeal with this dysfunctional Senate.
