Teabaggers discuss the convention~it's only $1 and McCain is a progressive

From Facebook (some of these comments are pretty priceless):

Chip Dore
Gov Palin is donating the 100k speakers fee, as to McCain she owes him for the Nomination (we would have never really been exposed to her), by the same thing He Owes her BigTime for not stepping in and muzzleing his staffers when they trashed her. I hope she appears just once for McCain as a courtesy gets behind Hayward as a Conservative.
McCain's time has passed.

Richard Cranium
Where's she donating the money?

Cindy Columbia
Interesting. First off I do not begrudge her making money for several reasons. First off she has been inundated with lawsuits by the liberal left from her time as Governor etc. She has to pay these tabs herself.

Second, I do not know what her plans are for her political future but I can assume she plans to stay active and perhaps even run for some... See More office in the future. That costs money. Right now while she is popular is the time to pocket that money. It also gives her extra $$ to support other candidates.

Lastly, I did not hear about Michele Bachman pulling out because of Palin. Do you have a source for that? Anyway, I DO disagree with her campaigning for McCain. She needs to step away from that promise. He had a lot of balls to ask her considering it was HIS campaign staff that were the loudest at trashing her. She owes none of them anything. I do wish she would reconsider. It sends a terrible message. We are trying to get RID of the McCain's out there and this certainly does not help to do that. I have heard that McCain is a real SOB. I am wondering if they have something on Sarah and used it to get her to go along. If not, then this misplaced loyalty of hers is just stupid.

Did you see how much it costs just to attend the Nat'l Tea Party - about $1 when your done with entry, travel, hotel.
I heard that Andrew Breitbart may be Simulcasting some of the speakers

Richard Cranium
I understand Cindy but dont you think if she felt so passionate about the Tea Party Movement that she would just volunteer to speak at the first Convention??? Dont you think that would look better for her and the Tea Party Movement if she wasnt recieving 100K for a speech and wasnt raping the ticket holders like it was some Presidential elite ... See Moredinner get together???? It doesnt look so grass-roots anymore with this bullcrap. Its ruining the image Cindy.

Richard Cranium
Yeah I see that Chip thank...if she donates that then I have no prob. I just dont think this needs to become some huge profit making scheme for so called conservatives to jump on for thier own selfish reasons. So far the Tea Party Movement is clean and pure...I dont want it screwed up by a bunch of same old politicians (which makes up 90% of the republican party)

Chip Dore
Michelle is still in Office - when the House Ethics Committee sends you a letter saying the prob with this event is that the Organizer set it up as a For Profit Company rather than a NFP - she is making a tactical move. by the same token the have to have SOME Speaker

Patricia Brast
She said she was donating the money back to the Tea Party. I heard it cost 550.00 dollars to attend...I will not be there. I think that is ridiculous ! Everyone is holding on to every dime they have in fear of losing jobs, if they haven't lost their job already...COME ON SARAH!!! We expect more from you!!!!

Richard Cranium
So far Chip, the Tea Party Movement has done just fine without any insider politicians help like what Sarah has become...if she campaigns for a progressive like McCain, I will no longer support her.

1. How stupid can you get? "The Tea Party... is clean and pure...."
Obviously not too well informed about the "roots" of the this astroturf operation.

2. Teabaggers are living proof of Mark Twain's statement.
God must love idiots, otherwise He wouldn't have made so many of them.

4. Seems like they are saying that 90% of the GOP is too "Progressive"
for them....I hope these people are around and very vocal for many years to come, and I hope they spin off a lot of other RW organisations taking money and votes from the GOP.

We can win big in November if we just get the voters motivated.

5. I wonder?
I am starting to think that everybody believes the tea baggers are all right wing. Without seeing that a lot of them are anti incumbents. Some of these people are responsible for changing the executive branch, and now they are focused on the legislative branch. Change their focus and you break them up.

8. Yes they are right wing
These same folks who claim to be so worried about govt spending were strangely silent while Dubya threw money at an illegal war. They had no problem with that kind of govt spending. And many of their 'leaders' (Michelle Malkin would be one) actually organized groups to support Bush's war and counter protested against the anti war groups demonstrating all over the country.

The right owns the teabaggers. And as far as I am concerned, they can keep em.

9. They believe history began in Jan 2009
Nobody ever used a teleprompter, nobody ever had deficits, there were no wars..blah blah blah. Amazing how they suddenly care about issues and budgets when there's a Dem in office. And, of course, they're all "independents". Right. Some will call themselves libertarians, but I think a libertarian is someone who is a republican but has just enough sense to be embarrassed to admit it...

Gawd, they are delusional.

6. Not 90%, but there is definitely a subset of Republicans
who are on the teabaggers' shit list. Certainly anybody who favors amnesty, like McCain and Lindsey Graham are at the top of that list, and you can probably add in any Rethuglicans who voted for the bank bailout, as well.
