Edited on Fri Jan-29-10 08:55 PM by Randall Flagg
He took the Republicans to task and took their lies to the dumpster.

Can you imagine W in a similar situation? Nooooo, you can't because his puppet masters knew that the idiot son couldn't think on his feet. Even buddy-boy Reagan couldn't have done what was done today: An honest question and answer between opposing parties.

Today, he had a backbone and he kicked ass and didn't bother to take names.

1. It was awesome!
This is the guy I voted for, he's a leader and he stands his ground. What a relief!

2. I won't lie...
I've been waiting for a moment like this and have cringed more than once in the past 11 months.

But today made me smile.

3. This is what I've seen time and time again....
Edited on Fri Jan-29-10 09:00 PM by liberalmuse
Whenever this man Obama is attacked and put down, he gets right back up and his resolve is even greater. Whenever he is at his lowest point, I now expect him to come right back and hit it out of the park. People are happy for awhile, then they get disgruntled and forget, then the same cycle repeats itself and he hits an even bigger one out of the park. I've never seen anything like it. I really thing he's going to do, or at least be largely responsible for beginning to forge that path towards exactly what he's said he will do.

5. In listening to Blackburn (TN) with a well thought out and reasoned attack on health care
He picked her up and put her down gently.

Then he put a heel down.

This is (to me) fresh government.

Unlike the former resident of the White House.

a colander.

21. He's a smart cookie
with buckets of patience so he will come out on top you can bet on that, especially now that he let them shoot themselves in the foot for the past year scoring little hateful spiteful none issues where they came off always as stupid. If Wednesday night was a jab then today was an uppercut.

I don't and never did think he ran and won the Presidency so he could be punked by the likes of boner and mcConnell and their fellow hapless happy hookers

The President has had his bring it on moment and it has been some kind of beautiful to watch.

6. If it was 140 to 1
They were obviously outnumbered, or in the famous works of Sergeant York: "I surrounded them"

Geeze, are they stupid! Why are they trying to play Obama for a fool?

13. Simply because they think that no one is smarter than they are.
That leaves a lot of room for learning humility.

I am gonna show him this! Then I'll show them Bush in a situation where he couldn't even READ the teleprompter. Then watch them moan.

How confident, poised and nimble of mind he was. It was a real pleasure to see. The Repubs will never allow this to happen again.

28. Mine as well
And it was interesting how he changed him into a hero in The Gunslinger, Roland Deschain of Gilead.

(Which, if you really want to get anal. has links to T.S. Elliot's Wastelands and a 14th C Chason de Geste.

the deal is he is smart enough to know how to fight this party of no. Give them enough rope and they will hang themselves comes to mind. The honeymoon that Obama has been giving the :puke: is over. The gloves came off a couple days ago and we seen it was not a fluke today, This is the guy I voted for and trusted. Now I feel good because my staunch support of him is being seen as right.

And kicked their ass even though he was outnumbered. Typical school yard bullies they are all hot air. When you confront them head on, they squirm and act like babies.
