Question for water conservationists: When you pee at work, do you flush the toilet?
You know, in keeping with "If it's yellow, let it mellow". Personally, I first gauge the level of yellow or possibly stinkiness out of consideration to my co-workers.. If I'm well hydrated, I'll usually let it slide.

15. One of the first things you learn when you have a septic tank is...
you don't flush after every pee.

2. Flush it. If you want to save your pee at home, knock yourself out.
Any time I see a public toilet with something in it that should have been flushed, I flush it THREE times. Once for the flush you didn't make, once for when I use it, and once more just to piss you off.

3. No, public toilets should be flushed
Nobody wants your pee splashed up on them when they pee on top of it.

Your own pee is somehow different. Let it mellow at home.

12. Gays won't pee in a toilet that hasn't been flushed of urine
I noticed this when my water pipe to my toilet started leaking and I had to flush with a bucket for a few weeks..UGH! bad memory, that was terrible.

22. Great way to irritate your co-workers.
As much as I respect your decision to not flush very often, I think it's a mistake to try that at work.

23. I don't particularly want to encounter your bodily fluids while I am out and about
And I doubt there are many out there who would think otherwise.

Do what you want at home. Please flush when using public facilities, and that includes the workplace.

27. No choice at work. They're all motion-activated.
Just about everything is, incliding all lighting. Thankfully, the one things that they didn't make motion activated is the water faucets in the washrooms. I hate those things that always shut off before I'm finished rinsing my hands.

Why not ask them to install one? I'm not sure of the ROI but it will save them money eventually.

Here's an article about them: http://www.buildinggreen.com/auth/article.cfm/2007/10/30/Innovation-in-Urinals-from-Caroma/
