Video of the announcement of the Roeder guilty verdict:
Granted, I would then have liked to see a cut to Roeder weeping hysterically with former Kansas AG Phill Kline in the background holding a pistol to his own temple, but hey, you take what you can get.

Here's to an equally rapid decision in the penalty phase, and then Mr. Roeder can take a richly-deserved ride on the needle.

2. 99 times out of 100 I agree with you vis-a-vis the death penalty.
But when an individual walks up to a man in a place of worship, places a gun against his temple in the presence of his wife and children, murders him in cold blood and never expresses the slightest remorse, then I'm willing to make an exception.

3. I would only to keep him out of the general population
because his poison could spread among bored men.

His crime was terrorism. I am just in awe of how many people don't get that part. The religious right does.

He really belongs in a Supermax with the rest of them.

5. All the more reason to keep him alive...
Under a psychiatrist's microscope. We don't do enough in this regard... we could learn so much.

Being barbaric in response to barbarism is vile. And death is too good for someone like this... a long suffering life in prison is far more apropos.

4. It's barbaric and archaic...
And has been used in error on innocent people. It's time to stop.
