and I hope we see more of this kind of thing.

5. I so agree! And I love that there's dialogue going on -- I've been thinking that
they absolutely hate this -- wondering how the hell they'll be able to spin it when it's there for all to see.

Boehner can't even PRETEND to look civil.

And I hate to feel this, but I think some of them just can't, and won't, get over the fact that he's Black. In those cases, I don't think we'll ever reach a compromise.

6. Beautiful. He's tearing them apart! I have never been so proud of a President in my entire life.
Anyone who says they could do a better job, or that Obama is a failure, is an entirely deluded and ignorant fool.

7. I want to know why...
Every time I hear someone (in this case the President just now) explain why we need to switch to a green energy economy it's always about climate change. I want to know why we NEVER hear, as one of the reasons we need to go green, about the issue of oil depletion and the fact that we have reached the end of cheap oil? It is for this very reason, together with a profoundly greedy Wall Street, that we are in such a deep recession. It was $147 per barrel oil that brought the economy down. And blame that on speculation if you want but consider this: Oil is ~$75 per barrel right now. THAT IS NOT CHEAP FOR OIL!

So, why is oil depletion never mentioned as a reason to go green?
