Obama should drive home American Auto Makers Investment
Two bits of news over the last couple of days seem to vindicate President Obama and his support for underwriting the US Auto industry. General Motors showed a profit for 2009. Ford also showed a profit, but did not accept the bailout money. In this climate of "jobs, jobs, jobs", Obama and the Democrats should drive this point home.

When the other side points to a failed stimulus bill as creating no new jobs, they (and we) should point out that most Republicans wanted the American Auto Industry to fail. In reality, Obama and the Dems saved millions of good jobs in the manufacturing industry. With the problems now facing Toyota, there is real hope that Obama's intervention saved the day for the American car industry.

Lets drive this point home and use it against Senators Bunning, Chambliss and Corker. Let's make them eat their words.
