There is a huge difference between Justice Alito and Joe Wilson...
He mouthed it under his breath - he didn't shout it out in a childish rude outburst and he didn't accuse the President of lying. I don't like his votes and his politics, but he's STILL got a lot more class than yahoo Congressman Joe Wilson. (Admittedly a very low bar to jump over..)

1. Yeah, it's worse.
A SC justice is a much more important position than some two bit congressman.

9. That's NOT what makes something "rude" or "polite" the actual behavior matters
Yelling out and using the word "liar" is what was rude. Moreover when Wilson did it, Obama had NOT singled out Wilson for criticism unlike in Alito's case.

4. Obama was respectful. Alito wasn't

This was and is Obama's forum. Not Alito's. Obama voiced a very respectful dissent to the S.C's decision.

If anyone didn't respect the separation of powers, it was Alito, not Obama.

In this way, Alito's classless behavior was actually worse than Wilsons.

8. Disagree... I don't agree with Alito but his response was not "rude".

5. What did Sammy the Fish say?
I watched the speech on PBS, as I don't currently have cable TV, so I missed any talking head spin.

Sammy Scalito wasn't happy that the President called him and his fellow Bush Crime Family appointed tools out on their corporate enabling?

7. Let's face it, they were both unspeakably rude to the President of the United States...
How many times did the Democrats act this way towards Bush*? The only thing I remember is the camera focusing on Senator Kennedy, scowling...
