Some say, Democrats were taught a lesson. I say, Senate Democrats are happy
with the outcome of the race. Now they don't have to do anything at all. Everything can be put on hold now and no bold moves are required because they don't have 60. The only unhappy senator is probably Lieberman.

3. Some may be. but others aren't. Anyone who thinks that boxer or leahy
or feingold or franken or brown is happy about this is nuts. leahy is frustrated enough about judiciary appointments. brown's election will only raise his blood pressure.

4. YEs, it takes whatever pressure there was to accomplish ANYTHING away. Now they can go back to
their full-time job of selling us out behind closed doors on the "small stuff" that we never hear about.

I am sure they are relieved that they can stop pretending to be on our side.

6. The Joy of DLC
They loved it when Gore lost. (Now we can get more seats according to conventional wisdom in the midterms against a weak GOP boob we can work with). They hated Gore for turning left in the waning days of the election(The reason he lost, they sneered knowingly). They wanted Gore to submit to the theft of the election.(He's spoiling our defeat "victory".) They love the swing voter, the two percent mush voter, the divided electorate, the game enabling parity of zero populist pressure points and zero public accountability. They love their pals across the aisle and they fear their fits of displeasure. They love and desperately need corporate acceptance and the money. They have zero qualms about consequences, victims or any of the ideals they inflate their balloons with.

They think these nasty little attitudes are a secret and as of little consequence as the preventable death of chunks of citizenry. They can't even hear themselves whine and snarl in revelatory pique when exposed or questioned outside the clubhouse.

A lot of people need to lose their jobs- at the top(of just about everything planet wide) and be replaced by actual representatives of the people with competent political skills and sane agendas.

7. I agree. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Coakley was obviously the Dem machine candidate, and I did not support her in the primary despite the robocall from Bill Clinton the night before. I was not happy to vote for her, but who in their right mind would vote for Brown?
