Edwards admits paternity
Edited on Thu Jan-21-10 08:42 AM by mnhtnbb
RALEIGH – John Edwards has admitted in a statement provided to media outlets on Thursday morning that he is the father of a child had by a campaign videographer with whom he had an affair.

The former North Carolina senator admitted to having an extramarital affair with Rielle Hunter back in Aug. 2008. In a statement released at that time, Edwards apologized for his actions but remained firm behind his belief that he was not the father of the child.

<snip>

But Thursday, Edwards revealed to NBC News that he was in fact the father of his ex-staffer’s child, Quinn. That announcement was followed by the following statement released to the press:

“I am Quinn’s father. I will do everything in my power to provide her with the love and support she deserves. I have been able to spend time with her during the past year and trust that future efforts to show her the love and affection she deserves can be done privately and in peace.

1. I think we ought to applaud his courage...
...in acknowledging his daughter only two years after her birth. :eyes:

What a stand-up guy.

Yanceyville here, come to CH to UNC med and Duke/Durham med.

When that story first broke I was so sick and embarrassed for Elizabeth.
He sure did talk a nice game, we even went out to see him at A&T in Greensboro, and had to walk about a mile with me on a cane.
Im gettin real tired of smiling snakes.

8. Hey back. We went to a rally for him at the old Best Western on 54 coming in to Chapel Hill
before it was turned in to this monstrous retail/office/condo complex.

Not only did we go to that, I also gave money! Having been a Deaniac in 03, I couldn't bring
myself to look at either Hillary or Obama because of their corporate coziness. (Look how that's turned out!) Damn, I was really taken with Edwards' message. Are there any real Democrats, truthful ones,
out there?

9. We donated some $ which we really could not afford
and now wish we had kept it.
We could not look at Hillary or Obama either, but did support Obama when it came down to it because we saw as the lesser of evils..It looks to me like either one was a bad choice. The fisa vote really pissed me off. We were getting harassment from the (*) mal-administration because we dared to speak out on the 2000 election theft. We lived in Fort Laud where we saw our ballots being shredded at our precinct polling place. It went so far as threats to our persons and family, and a ransacking of our home after we moved to Greensboro. After which we moved to a house out in the woods, thats the short version. Still no one really believes us, and we do not have any evidence since at the time we did not have cell phones or a working camera to collect evidence. The uniforms the guys doing the shredding looking back looked like Blackwater uniforms, we did not know who they were then. Our neighbors in Gso recalled seeing black crown victorias with government tags parked in front of our house, we were not home at the time.

This country and her people are in trouble the repigs are nazis and we are in peril and J E had to go and boff his staff member. The selfish pig.
I will tell him so when I ever see him.
