1. Especially progressives doing primaries from the left on incumbent dems

Don't let the dems think they can count on us in general elections just because they are democrats and we are liberals and union members. If unions and liberals (the democratic activist base) are going to put hundreds of millions of volunteer hours and dollars into the 2010 election cycle (these 2 groups always put that kind of power into each election cycle) we/they are better off doing it via primaries from the left.
It doesn't really matter anyway if it makes it harder for the incumbent to win the general. Even with super majorities the dems can't get things done so why have those supermajorities? Dropping to 240 house or 55 senate seats shouldn't be a huge problem. Esp if the losses are blue dogs and conservadems.
