And hence why we lost the Independent voters in Mass.

1. Now you're talking like that guy in your avatar.
And he was right about that. Still true today.

10. Indeed it is...all this talk from some here about how the "liberals" cost us MA need to put down the
...crackpipe...

Centralism and bi-partisanship are a recipe for a one-term Presidency...

2. Almost makes you think that the Dems don't care about keeping seats
They'll get lobbyist jobs and other perks if they're voted out -- IF they serve their masters well while in office! -- so what difference does it make to them?

We've been royally had. Most of our own party is no damned good.

4. Srsly--why would our elite Dems want to go through all that blackmail and slander
Just so they can "face up" to the military industrial complex & corporate media? Because, that's what they've been champing at the bit to do for the last few decades, and FINALLY they have the chance?

No, they want their jobs to be nice and easy. And lucrative, especially after they leave. Why on earth would they want to risk this by winning a super-super majority this year?

9. except she didn't. one more time. Martha Coakley is a very liberal dem
she opposes the wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan. She went after corporations big time as AG. She was a terrible candidate- but not because she's not a liberal.

11. Is the OP saying...
...Coakley, liberal though she may be but horrible candidate she was, the real vote was because the current congress and admin are acting too GOPish?

That I could almost see but so far I'm being told Coakley was safely one of us.
