I just turned on the TV and saw a Christmas-themed commercial
It's nearly a frickin' month after Christmas, and Kellogg's still hasn't revised their Special K commercial I suppose. I just turned on my TV so I could watch the Stanford Roundtable special. My TV was set to ABC, which was showing The View, and on my screen was the Special K commerical where a mother and daughter were making Christmas decorations. Mother gets up to get something to eat, and she's stuck on her (small) chair, which reminds her she needs to lose weight.

1. Actually, I think that's supposed to be a post-holiday ad
it's trying to imply that she gained a lot of weight over the holidays and now needs to take it off.

2. Thanks for clarifying - I'm just wondering when the Xmas decors have got to go
In fact, I could still hear the jingle bells on Verizon commercials on the NFL playoffs last weekend. I'm non-religious and don't really celebrate the holidays very much, so my perspectives may differ from yours greatly.

8. Yeah. Now, as for that banner ad online for Hershey's Kisses...
...where they're still advertising the red and green ones, and you can mouse over it to get the Kisses handbell choir in the shape of a Christmas tree ringing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas"...come on, people. Time to go. It's not even Orthodox Christmas anymore. I mean, we all love the ad, but save it for next time.

3. it happens sometimes
I'm a traffic manager so I know, it's happened to me. If a spot gets missed in the post-holiday purge then winds up back in rotation...whoopsie...client gets a refund and I get my ass BBQ'd ....:(

4. I'm in Traffic, too
:hi:

And we have commercial probs like that all the time. We even had one yesterday where the client yelled at us and wanted us to give them a No charge sched because the wrong spot ran. It was the spot that they told us to air. We had the paperwork proving it.

And as for the Kellogs commercial - that one is not really a Christmas one. Like someone mentioned before - it's what happens after the holidays. You gain weight and then you eat Special K. I get it!!!

6. Hey there
It's cool to meet someone who actually knows what I do for a living, explaining it to anyone outside the industry is tough :hi:

I know what you mean, I had them try to hit me for a bunch of wrong airings of paid programming a while back and when I faxed the paperwork back to the agency you could all of a sudden hear a pin drop :D

and yeah, I know the spot you're talking about now, just saw it run

7. How about the Jitterbug.
I would never buy an article that pans and slurs it's opponents. Reminds me too much of a republican campaign. If they tell us the reasons they are good, what they do etc without all the undercutting of the other fellow than they are worth buying, otherwise I won't touch them. That means I would never buy a Jitterbug and wouldn't go with Verizon.
