Contrary to popular DU-centrist belief, the folks here who are disappointed and angry at Obama
are not an isolated pocket of whiny left-baggers. Unless Obama finds the balls to deliver *real change*, the whole country is going to kick his ass come 2012. Dude, clear the corporate cronies out of your cabinet, start over, and this time MEAN IT!

3. Contrary to lefty lunatic belief
Obama can not force people to vote the way he wants them to and punishing him for that will not help the country at all. You have seen what bushes administration has done to this country yet so many are so eager to return to it because in one year Obama hasnt been able to get everything they want through congress. You seem to think that weakening the hold on congress has somehow made it easier to accomplish things, The disconect with reality be the far left here is sometimes mind boggling.

5. "You have seen what bushes administration
has done to this country"

Feed money to the banks, insurance companies, expand the war, not negotiate drug prices, keep people at Gitmo. Wait a minute, is the is the change we voted for? Look, Obama spent more time with Grassley, Baukus, Snowe, and Lieberman than his base.

And more time with NYC GOP mayor than with the DEM nominee for that position.

6. No, he can't force anyone to vote
a certain way and I don't see anyone saying he can. What he can do is not reward bad behavior (Lieberman), what he can do is throw down a gauntlet (veto threat), what he can do is not be seen as a tool of the insurance and pharma companies (not to mention the bankers but that's another story). He has done nothing for the left and kissed the ass of those who simply don't want him to succeed. I admire his trying for bi-partisanship - now that he sees that is IMPOSSIBLE he should do what he thinks is right and let his administration fall or rise on those terms because right now he's failing on the pukes terms and allowing them to move the agenda.

17. Agreed, I don't understand how things like that are allowed
It's the main reason I rarely post, I know I'll be instantly attacked and it'll be allowed.

15. The disconnect with reality? The reality is if you think you are right
and other people need to come around to your way of thinking calling them lunatics is probably a bad way to get started. The OP gave you a reasonable moniker, "Centrist" and you chose in return to call him a lunatic.

Now were I a person sitting on a fence and trying to decide whos side I am going to sit on, well lets just say I wouldn't be going with the playground, call me names like a fucking third grader, mentality.

20. You really don't get it?
It is about taking a stand. It is about leadership. It is about direction.

If that needs explanation for you, then maybe you really *don't* get it.

16. more celebration, eh?
It never stops. Hurray the Democrats lost in Massachusetts. Naderites could not contain their glee for even 12 hours.

Surely, electing a rightwinger proves that the country wants to move left, and unless Obama moves left the country will get mad and elect another Republican President. By God, that will move the country left just like it did in 1980 and 2000!!
