1. Are you sure that the Blue Dogshits wouldn't find themselves purged by the republican party.
I have a feeling that some of the shit they try to pull might not go over with that group.

2. Just electing any Democrat isn't enough.
We know that for sure now. All arguments to support conservative Democrats because they help maintain the majority must be ignored. It doesn't result in a progressive agenda becoming law, ever. In some cases they can do more harm than a Republican, like Lieberman finally did.

4. They don't have to.. together they take turns opposing crap enough that it
gets watered down to useless and STILL not passed. We need Dems who vote Dem 95% or better, not 60%.

6. Strange that the folks against automatic support of Dems want automatic support of Dem policy!
OK name me any Blue Dogs anywhere near 60%.

Trust me they DO have to prove how much Blue Dogs vote against Dem policy if they want to demonize them as "not real Dems".

8. Why when making this argument would you even accept...
the platform of ANY blue dog, as if this represents the best of any state's equity in the union?

I'm a little tired of the people to gather lots of people money only to represent the views of people with lots of money.

Fuck this entity that is "accepted" in the heart of any blue dog.

11. Their platform is closer to the greater Dem platform than most of DU is
Again show me where Blue Dogs vote differently from the Dem caucus as a whole. From memory the very worst is 20% or so. The idea that they are Republicans or even close is uber-left screed and bullshit to boot.

5. Fine....
..then the White House and the democratic leadership should support our efforts to unseat those obstructionists with primary opponents.

Or at the very least not get involved at all, and not wink wink nudge nudge hands off. Actual hands off.

The problem is they want to point to the blue dogs as convenient excuses as to why they can't get anything done but when it comes time like it did for Lieberman, they line up behind their insider buddies who are already members of the club.

13. You're confusing the Blue Dog Coalition with DLC and NDC
The Blue Dog Coalition is made up of House members - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&channel=s&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=XBh&defl=en&q=define:Blue+Dog+Coalition&ei=B5ZYS4ISz7O2B8n5_KYE&sa=X&oi=glossary_definition&ct=title&ved=0CAcQkAE

The neocon enablers in the Senate are DLC and NDC. There are 14 NDC (offshoot of DLC) Senate members - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Democrat_Coalition

DLC stopped publishing their membership list a couple of years ago, not surprising for an organization that wants to enable neocons by undermining the Democratic party.
