If it weren't for Glenn Beck and FOX News spewing their outright lies and propaganda over the past few months, would Brown have even stood a chance today? I know that Nazi comparisons are made rather loosely here on DU, but what we're seeing right now does bear a striking resemblance to post-WWI Germany. You have a charismatic personality demagoguing Obama and the entire Democratic Party, whipping up his base into a furious frenetic frenzy with his TV and radio shows. You've got another attractive, charismatic, inexperienced failed politician doing the same thing, relying on nothing more than her "gosh darn" mindset. Goebbels could have only dreamed of having a propaganda outlet as effective and relentless as FOX News and conservative AM talk radio.

2. Speaking of Sarah Palin. This is how easily she could become President if
the right set of circumstances happen. It's scary to think of.

3. And going thru the channels I caught this on Fox News.
The republicans are celebrating because they can stop the Democrats from fulfilling his agenda. The can now filibuster. The Democrats had better do away with the cloture vote and just pass the bills on majority only.

4. No, those people are VILE, but our complacent Corporate Democratic Leadership
Edited on Tue Jan-19-10 11:22 PM by ShortnFiery
LOST this race.

We NEED to hold the Corporate Democrats accountable to WORKING AMERICANS.

Stop pointing fingers because we all agree that these right-wingers are vile and we have to fight against an entire network. It would HELP if our "representatives" would simply refuse to appear on Murdoch's stations.

We need BRAVE REPRESENTATIVES who serve their constituents first. Not pansy-assed wimps who only respond to the demands of corporate lobbyists.

These democratic "respresentatives" need to FEAR US, the voter, more than their corporate enablers.

Vote these assholes out of office and start anew!

p.s. I despise the DLC/New Democrats/Blue Dogs tonight ALMOST as much as the right wingers. At least I know that the right wing is my (working Americans) enemy.
