Air America
I just received this from OpEdNews.com

"First, good news-- Air America has been rescued. They have a buyer-- a major real estate marketer in NYC. That should take care of the bankrupptcy situation.

"Second, Thom Hartmann will be taking over the time slot departing Al Franken will be leaving Monday through Friday-- noon through three EST. If you haven't heard Thom Hartmann, get ready for GREAT talk radio. I do confess I am biased. Thom and his wife Louise are dear friends and I'm proud that all their hard work and sacrifices early on have been rewarded. They deserve it. Thom's the best."

Although I'm glad "Air America has been rescued," I'm sorry to see Al Franken go.

Does anyone know any more about this? Especially who the buyer is?

Air America lives! Al Franken to announce in Senate race

Huffington Post is reporting that liberal talk network, Air America will be bailed out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy after by Manhattan real estate developer Stephen L. Green, brother of erstwhile New York mayoral candidate, Mark Green.

Also, as widely predicted, top AAR talker Al Franken will leave the air to run for the US Senate in Minnesota against neocon Norm Coleman.

(Coleman, feeling the heat from a heated Franken candidacy, has separated himself from the Bush and his war escalation).

6. Thank goodness for both parts. I like Franken, but I grew tired of his
show. Thom Hartmann is so much better.

Thanks, AAR for moving Thom at noon-3pm.

7. Good news
Glad to hear it's owned privately rather than by a corporation or some creepy conglomerate like most of the world is these days.

8. Good news
Now our local station needs to drop the inane "Shoppapallooza" they put on instead of Franken (now Hartman) time slot. Bunch of idiots yammering about, literally, nothing. It would be one thing for them to talk about local issues, as the morning drive time slot does, but it isn't even that.
