IMPEACHMENT is your patriotic duty!!
Find an event in your area on Saturday and be a part of history. Take your kids and grandkids.

National Impeachment Day

Saturday April 28

http://www.a28.org/

In California, they are spelling out IMPEACH on the beach. In Minnesota, they are spelling out IMPEACH with canoes on a lake. In Kansas City, they are spelling IMPEACH on the lawn between the shuttlecocks at the Nelson Art Gallery.

Find an event in your area and join in the fun!

1. It is congress constitutional duty....
Edited on Wed Apr-25-07 12:07 AM by GreenTea
to investigate & impeach, investigations & hearings will prove laws were broken by Cheney & Bush.

This is congresses sworn duty, one which the republican congress ignored...If the executive branch has broken laws, this is not a decision for Pelosi to make this is her constitutional duty, she would be derelict in her duties NOT to have hearings and move towards investigations, hearings and impeachment.

Just as the republican congress did nothing and were derelict in their sworn duties to have hearings on obvious or even suspect laws that were being broken and compromised.

Pelosi has no other authority but to protect and obey the Constitution....Kucinch is doing his job and taking the correct steps.

6. But ONLY congress, who represents the people can bring impeach charges, that is
Edited on Wed Apr-25-07 12:41 AM by GreenTea
congresses sworn duty as written in the constitution...Congress does not have a choice, the constitution makes that very clear. The Senate can not initiate impeachment proceedings only our representatives in congress can...Although we see many in congress who are afraid and look the other way. That again is a dereliction of their sworn duty.

17. We had an impeachment meeting the other night
There is a website. The people who organized the meeting handed out directions for a do it yourself impeachment. They had books. I had no idea that citizens could do it but I saw it myself. Yes we can.

19. All "the people" can do
is get their congressman to introduce articles of impeachment. The Congress isn't obligated to do anything about it.

This so-called "Jefferson Manual" approach to impeachment is greatly over-rated here. The constitution describes how impeachment works, and no Rule of the House can override the constitution.

That is a republican trait. Democrats do not believe in that.

7. It is not a question of patriotism, it is congresses sworn duty to uphold the constitution.
Edited on Wed Apr-25-07 12:26 AM by GreenTea
To investigate and have hearings on obvious impeachable offenses and to impeach if proven...Congress doesn't have a right to ignore impeachable crimes.

Republicans in congress just ignored their responsibility because they are of the same party as the executive branch...completely ignoring the constitution as always.
