Great idea!

It certainly made an impression on Barbara Boxer when that campaign to send her roses for Valentine's Day (in 2005, after she was the lone Senator to stand up with the Congressional Black Caucus to question the 2004 vote count). She was almost literally drowning in roses by the end of the week.

That strategy is VERY deviously shrewd on another account.

EVERY TIME some delivery person headed through the building to her office with another bouquet, YOU CAN BET HARD MONEY that EVERY woman in EVERY office on the way to Boxer's door noticed. Some men, too. And you can also bet that what went through their minds at one point or other - was "gee, why isn't somebody sending ME flowers like that? Shit... there goes ANOTHER one. Howthehell many is she getting? No fair! I want some too! What's the deal? How does SHE luck out?"

EVEN IF they were republi-CONS unwilling to see the light, you can bet they saw THAT, and got jealous.
