Facebook FACTCHECK: UPS is NOT shipping items under 50 lbs to Hati for free
I noticed this message posted as the status of several friends: UPS is shipping anything under 50lbs for free to Haiti. You can send food, clothes, or shoes etc. Spread the word

Unfortunately this is not correct:

UPS is not accepting shipments from individuals or local organizations due to the logistics challenges in Haiti. Service will resume as soon as conditions allow. Shipments to Haiti made prior to the earthquake are temporarily being held at UPS facilities in Miami.

1. Clinton asked that people NOT send "things" - it complicates the logistics
of distribution. Just send money. Just thought I'd mention that.
