4. No.
I think he likes his life today. I just don't think his heart is in running for President.

5. Yes I do
He certainly knows that:

- He's the best-qualified of all the potential candidates
- He has the best chance of winning the nomination
- He has the best chance of beating McCain, Gingrich or Hagel

Go Al go!

8. Hopefuly, delegates get their heads out of their asses...
and realize that, as popular as Hillary Clinton is with Dems, she is pretty well UNELECTABLE in my estimation. She voted for war, she is much too cosy with AIPAC and way too fond of Big Pharma/Big Oil's money...and she is also way too unpopular in Red States.

I think that Gore really has a chance in 2008, barring unfriendly judicial decisions...

Just my opinion, of course.

32. According to the Cambridge International Dictionary of Idioms:
"In your heart of hearts" means:
If you know something in your heart of hearts, you are certain of it although you might not want to admit it. I knew in my heart of hearts that something was wrong, but I just wasn't ready to deal with it. Do you believe in your heart of hearts that things will get better?

Edited on Mon Jan-29-07 05:50 PM by Winebrat
But I'm hoping I'm wrong. He'd have the best chance of winning -- I think all those morons who voted for * might like a chance to do the right thing. And he'd be a great president.

Since Kerry has dropped out, Gore is my next favorite. But I don't think he'll jump in. He's found his mission in saving the world from global warming. So I'm now somewhat adrift in a sea of other candidates.

20. Everytime I hear another report
about the earth's decline with regards to ice shelfs, etc., I can't get prez Gore out of my mind. We so desparately NEED some GREEN LEADERSHIP. But, sadly, even if he was elected, he'd probably be bumped off like JFK, cause the big money evil bastards won't like their enormous cut in pay, that Gore is likely to help legislate, same thing with Kucinich.

I think if Clark runs, he won't. I think if there isn't a really good person with the best chance of winning, then he will.

24. I am starting to pray that he does, in particular if Wes Clark doesn't
jump in...which if he does would be a taunting task considering the Corporate media reporting only on who they want to and how they want to.

Voting for Hillary or Edwards is the same to me; we would be once again voting for those who are part of the establishment (even if Edwards has attempted to take himself out of that group, all indications is that he is in it up to his chin).

We shall see.....won't we?

25. I didn't know Tipper said no. Well, that says a lot. He always
talks it over with the family and his other half says no. I'd sure love it if he did, though.
And you can say *heart of hearts* to me any time you want. Why are people so petty?

27. In my heart of hearts? Or my gut feeling?
Which do you want?

My heart of hearts wants him to run. He will win. He'll beat them all, Democrats and Republans. It'll be a landslide. Everybody who voted for him the first time, will vote for him again. Everybody who voted for Ralph Nader will vote for him out of guilt. The people who voted for Bush in 2000, but didn't vote for Bush in 2004 will vote for Gore because they realize he's a pretty good guy afterall. That's without having to do any real campaigning. He would win. Easily.

My gut says there's no way he's gonna run. After what this country and it's corporate fucking media put that guy through? It's amazing he still lives here! That his wife would not want him to go through that again is the only rational position for her to take, and I respect her for it, even if she would make a lovely First Lady. He would be crazy to run even though he would win and he would be a good president.

So...

I voted yes.
I think he will announce from the stage while accepting his Academy Award.

It would be nice if announced, declared Clark as his running mate and everyone else dropped out and got behind the ticket.

30. You know, that would be a great way for him to do it.
Bold, decisive and creative.
Exactly what we will need to clean up the mess that the BFEE has made.
And if he were able to clean it up in 8 years, he would probably go down in history as one of the big names.
And "George W. Buh" would be a sour footnote.

33. No. I think he'd elevate the debate very considerably but he just
doesn't seem to have the white-knuckled look in his face he had just a short while back.

But if he were to jump in -- and he's viable the instant he does -- I think he should put in a phone call to Howard Dean and ask him to be his veep should he get the nomination.

I think a Gore-Dean ticket would be more than enough to wipe the Republican ticket off the map.
