Good News for the Anti-Smerconish Crowd: Awful Ratings
http://insidecable.blogsome.com/2007/04/24/mondays-numbers-52/#more-5699

MSNBC Live was the Smerconish broadcast. The demo number as well as the total viewer numbers were awful. Imus got at least 300,000 viewers and at least 100,000 in the demo. So good news for the Anti-Smerconish crowd because if he keeps those numbers, I cannot imagine him getting the show.

Morning programs P2+ (25-54)
FOX & Friends – 801,000 viewers (284,000)
American Morning – 261,000 viewers (91,000)
MSNBC Live- 218,000 viewers (82,000)
Robin & Co. – 173,000 viewers (115,000)

10. I know. It is terrible. It is a desperation quick flip through the channels followed by giving up.
Everything on TV sucks at that time.

I wonder if they are letting Allison develop a show for that time.

Her "The Most" is going off the air but she said she isn't leaving.

She could certainly continue to interview media and political big wigs and give them 12-15 minutes which is why they liked going on Imus. She has plenty of music contacts from her days at MTV to keep having some live bands show up occasionally. It would also be good to do after all MSNBC's chatter about giving minorities and women more of an opportunity to get their POV out.

12. I'm watching her on KO nw. She can't take HIS place, of course. But she might be alright in the mo
morning slot. She doesn't sound like a brain-washed Republic.

few e-mails to them could help make sure they have at least had the idea brought to their attention.

I saw this on TVnewser:

MSNBC Ends 'The Most'
Because Alison Stewart is "diving into a new opportunity," MSNBC is cancelling her afternoon show, The Most.

The Most premiered almost exactly one year ago. It originally aired at 3pm, and was moved to the noon hour several months ago.

"Now that Alison is moving on to other responsibilities, we're going to transition the noon hour to our regular dayside news coverage," an MSNBC rep says...

"Diving into a new opportunity" - what is it? I have no idea and I haven't seen any hints.

4. I used to keep MS NBC on for most of the day. Because I don't care for their morning show now, I'm
listening to Bill Press on the radio and just don't get around to watching MS NBC like I did. Later in the day when I get back to watching tv, it is usually Court TV. I would not have thought by messing up the morning show that it would have such long range effects.
