Seriously, it's the best way to go to ensure that your money is used to help out the people of Haiti. I'm sure a dozen new 'charities' will pop up saying they too help Haiti but for me, I'd rather work with the group I know can do the work.

I don't have alot of extra cash right now but I found a way to pony up $25.

2. They are both excellent organizations

My company will probably do a matching fund with American Red Cross, so I went with them.

However, my opinion is if we want to help go with the organizations we know can do the most good and these are the 2 best out there!

Oxfam, American Friends, NW Medical Teams, lots of groups to give to if you don't want to go through the Red Cross.
