Did anybody catch Jimmy Kimmel's devastating put down of Jay Leno last night?
It was brutal and it was brilliant:

Donning a grey wig and a prosthetic chin, Jimmy Kimmel did his entire show as Jay Leno last night. Speaking the whole time with a slight lisp, Kimmel was a dead ringer for the NBC host from the start, as he opened the show in classic Leno fashion: high fiving the crowd.

"Hello, hello, my name is Jay Leno .. and I'm taking over all the shows in late night," Kimmel said in a monologue that may as well have been written by Leno's staff. "It's great to be here at ABC... You know what ABC stands for? Always Bump Conan."

In true Leno fashion, Kimmel repeatedly played off his bandleader, Cleto, who perfectly played the role of Kevin Eubanks.

He then went on to do classic Leno bits, such as "Headlines." Top top it off, his first guest, Chevy Chase, came out dressed as Conan.

1. Kimmel has long hated Leno
Because Leno tried to prevent Kimmel from getting any guests.

3. Apparently not
That's what's caused all the brouhaha at NBC.

from keeping him around.

4. There was a time when that would have been the kiss of death.
Goes a long way to show how far Leno has fallen.

5. I like Dave's Leno impression better, but that was funny.
Seems like the truth is coming out and almost everyone in the biz dislikes Leno. The entertainment value of this stuff is priceless.

7. "Mavis, can you run down to NAPA for me?"
Brilliant. You can tell Dave's been doing that one around the office for a loooong time.

8. When you are successful, people always take a poke at you
and the less successful you are the more you poke fun at people who are. Kimmel must be one of the lowest on the late night scale. Jay Leno is no worst than Letterman. but a hell of a lot better than those cruds like o'brien and kimmel.

10. Devastating, indeed, highlights LENO's lameness, & this situation shows LENO as the snake
When he did it to LETTERMAN, his manager was blamed as the bad cop and afterward he ditched her and came off looking like he was the good guy. Now he's doing it to Conan, and he's on his own.

11. I can't believe how completley stupid NBC is.
Leno's median age group: 55
Conan's median age group: 45

So let's go with Leno :P Ride that right into the ground.
