You'd be wrong if you guessed the Berlin Wall. Granted, the Berlin Wall was a despicable thing, but I'm thinking of something even worse.

No, I'm thinking of the Warsaw Ghetto.

Do you really think that wall was going up to protect those Sunnis? No. That wall was going up to imprison those Sunnis. Lock them all in there, "for their protection" and let them rot. The plan was so outrageous that even Maliki pulled Cheney's hand out of his ass and demanded a stop to it.

Thankfully, construction of that wall has stopped, but the idea that my own government would even think of doing something like that absolutely sickens me.

2. That kind of thinking is *ss's way of solving a lot of problems. It
is why he cuts social programs, ignores the needs of NO from day one, ignores the need of a good health care program, etc. He also ignores the problems in Darfur, global warming and other international issues. He thinks like Sherman, if you cannot kill them outright then ghettoize them. Has it ever occurred to you all that the longer he holds off on global warming the less people will be left to have to deal with. He called himself the war president, I call him the death president.

8. which in a convoluted fashion shows that they approved of
being ghettoized themselves. Sad that humans can't learn.

5. I thought the same thing.
A large, clearly defined, walled off section. Once the wall is built, you start stuffing the area full with people from across the city, and from other cities, until you have half a million living in 16 square blocks. Starvation, disease become endemic.

That's our Bush.

10. There are very distinct parallels, including that citizens of Fallujah
watched their family members being arbitrarily arrested and imprisoned at Abu Graib and waited and waited for word of them for nearly a year before rebelling. Their goodwill was up front. Ours was propaganda.
