I was quite angry watching TDS last night.

Last night Jon Stewart had Matt Cooper as a guest. Both sat there talking about Rove spreading disinformation about Valerie Plame. Cooper must have felt a little guilty because he said, two or three times, that he had written an article against the administration also!

That show made me very upset. At this point in time reporters are just coming out and stating Rove talked to them. Does anyone realize what I am saying? Reporters (at least one, anyway)are not even trying to hide the fact that Rove committed treason! Did they make a deal with Fitz and said they would throw him Scooter if he left Rove alone? They did not get Scooter on treason but they could sure nail Rove to the wall after that interview. How is it that Rove still had security clearance? Why are these revelations not leading to a huge outcry of the public?

This is so infuriating to me because if they are going to commit treason, put our country at greater risk of an attack and screw us over at every turn, the least they can do is try to keep it under raps. Don't stick up your middle finger and shove it in my face. I am frustrated and furious.

1. It is simply confirming what we have all known or speculated since 2000

Karl Rove is the evil master mind behind the complete fiasco this nation has found it's self.

My hope is that more come forward and tell the truth and we can at some point indict this SOB and lock his ass away to protect America from further harm by this monster.

2. Go ahead and vent. I wonder if blogs will bounce that interview around...

What stood out to me was when Matt Cooper said, we have to protect Karl Rove or REAL whistleblowers will feel like, if you won't even protect Karl Rove, how will you protect me?

Jon asked why Karl Rove needed protection in the first place. That was a damned good question.

I feel like Time and Matt Cooper wasted a lifetime's supply of journalistic principle on that little, little man because they consciously chose not to differentiate between someone abusing the media for political gain, and harming national security in the process, and a "real" whistleblower (Matt's words!), because... um, well for no good reason really. Just because they didn't want to look like they'd reveal a source, ever, even when the source is complete scum who used them like tissue paper. And being used like tissue paper... is OK with Time, it's OK with Matt Cooper to the point he can discuss the matter in the third person...

4. I noticed there was a pregnant pause....

after Jon said that about why Rove needed protecting. Jon made pretty good points about if they did nothing wrong then why did they not just speak up when the whole scandal broke. He does a pretty good job of getting the point across without verbally attacking anyone. By doing that he keeps getting guests that are on the GOP side.

And if Matt was so wrapped up in keeping his source private, how come he is so openly admitting that Rove was doing all the dirty work and giving everyone propaganda to spread? UGH! When are the American people going to wake up?

Cooper's reputation/career are probably in the tank. I didn't see the program but I don't want them to keep anything hidden.....that's one of the problems. imho
