http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/04/24/166159.aspx

<snip>

10. More slurred speech, more misuse of the English language, more of the same....
What he fails to understand is that multiple appearances on TV just confirm to the rest of the country that their vote in 2006 to end this war has not penetrated his brain.

Fuck him and his fucking war! The minute he veto's that bill they should immediately table everything and start his impeachment.

24. Will he take any questions?
Or will he read his little statement and then skedaddle for Air Force One?

Anyway, there you go troops: You're worth "as many as eight to ten minutes" of bloviating from your commander in chief. Doesn't it make you feel all warm and fuzzy?

25. It Strikes Me That *Co Is Really Concerned About This Bill Being Sent To Him.....
they say the best defense is a good offense - and I think that is what he is doing.

Continually hammering the Dems - because bottom line he doesn't want to be backed into a corner of having to veto this bill. He realizes he really can't veto this bill.

So he is continually going on the offense here hoping that the Dems will back down.

I'm thinking that the Dems finally have his back against the wall.

The Dems need to keep pushing. They took the 'so-called' pork out of the bill. They are giving him the $'s he says he needs. If he veto's it - it is only because he wants to continue this 'occupation'.

35. They do seem to be a little more worked up then usual.
Perhaps they know that they can only use this bluff for so long and then they have to take what's given them. Bottom line is Bush is responsible for the safety of the troops. The Dem's can't order a pull out. He can't reject funds and then blame the Dem's for the consequences. He's the decider and if he doesn't act he's derelict in his duties.
