FEDS: Kentucky Election Officials Manipulated Elections for DECADES...

Federal Prosecutors: Kentucky Officials Manipulated Clay County Elections for Decades
PLUS: A BRAD BLOG visit to Diebold, Premier, ES&S in Allen, TX...

The BRAD BLOG has long endeavored to fight back against the disinformation being put forward by the GOP "voter fraud" charlatans and fraudsters contending that massive fraud is being carried out by voters at the polls, requiring the institution of disenfranchising Photo ID restrictions at the polling place which would result in some 21 million Americans being unable to cast their legal vote, according to the League of Women Voters and most other serious experts on these matters.

Once again, a story out of Kentucky helps us highlight that it's election insiders, not voters themselves, who are, by far, the greatest threat to the integrity of elections.

We reported early last year on the passel of election officials in Clay County, KY arrested for buying and selling votes, manipulating ES&S electronic voting machines without the knowledge of voters, and otherwise fixing elections from 2002 to 2006.

As their January 19 trial date nears, more motions are being filed by federal prosecutors. The latest, filed last week, alleges that two of the top officials charged --- one, a circuit court judge and the other, the county school Superintendent --- had been fixing elections for decades before their recent indictments...

PLUS: The BRAD BLOG makes another quick visit to Diebold, Premier, ES&S in Allen, TX since the latter has taken over the former, to control 70 to 80% of America's votes with their faulty, hackable, easily-manipulated voting systems…

1. This is conjecture on my part
But there have been times that, just when I think some turd is beat, or some ballot initiative; there will suddenly be a bunch of votes come in from Louisville or somewhere that change things. Now that's just :tinfoilhat: on my part, but with these prosecutions I have to wonder......

4. FWIW...
...I don't think these yutzes in Clay County had much reach beyond the county. But the methods they used could have been repeated elsewhere certainly. And enough folks seem to have known about it, that I don't think their scheme was a particularly well kept secret -- at least among the partisans out there will to do anything to throw an election their way.

5. The techology is new,
but the methods are old.

What makes me laugh is... we laugh and point at others for ballot stuffing when we do it ourselves...

So what if we do it, as long as we can point at oh the PRI for engaging in this kind of behavior. This country NEEDS international observers... truth be told.

14. What we really need...
"This country NEEDS international observers... truth be told."

While I have nothing against international observers, this country needs national observers! In other words, citizen observers who CAN observe. But that's the problem. Our new shitty voting systems make it impossible to oversee! You can't watch what goes on inside a computer. And even if you have paper ballots, they don't do a hell of a lot of good if nobody bothers to count them or can even verify that the computer counted them correctly!

7. Thanx Brad
Until Jennifer Brunner took over as Sec. of State in Ohio I am sure that the republican party and some
county level BOEs were in the vote rigging game. You should have heard them scream when Brunner
put in early voting (on paper), no taking the machines "home" with some poll worker before the election,
and that all BOE members had to follow the law. The state GOP had a meeting w/ all their county level
"election people" to express their concerns aka Jenny was taking away their ability to rig elections.

In 2004 a suburb east of Columbus had 3,200 votes in a precinct that had 800 voters and in 2005 a series
of election reform ballot measures all of which had 10 to 30% margins in their favor (Columbus Dispatch Poll)
all lost in landslides.

9. I think something is going on in OK too
at the local level most elections we won't even have a puke on the ballot but yet we send the likes of coburn and inhofe to washington. I don't think so honestly that is. This all started when we went to electronic vote counting machines. They have the cost for a recount so high that no one can afford to recount our paper ballots so what are we to do

10. Thank you Brad.
An important issue. The canard about the voters commiting fraud needs to end.

13. The elections must be fixed in Kentucky.
How else could that state keep returning useless Mitch McConnell to the US Senate?

15. It was the same way for many years in Wyoming..
You would be blackballed and lose your job if it was known that you voted the wrong way.
I have not lived there for years so I do not know if this is still true.
