RON PAUL: " CHENEY Has Caused a Lot Of TROUBLE For The U.S., So Its Best He NOT Be So Critical "
Wow! Pushback against Cheney from Ron Paul.

Yesterday on CNN’s Larry King Live, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) sharply criticized former Vice President Cheney — a member of his own Party — for throwing stones at President Obama on national security:

KING: All right, Congressman Paul, what about — he’s in — he’s in your party. What about Dick Cheney’s complaints?

PAUL: Well, I think he had his eight years and he’s caused a lot of trouble for our country and he perpetuated a war in Iraq that was unnecessary and wrong-headed. So I would say that it would be best he not be so critical right now. But I’m still not only critical of that policy — I think the policy remains the same and we’ve hear it on the show tonight already. They — they are going to attack us and they’ve declared war against us. And it’s always they and them. But — but who are they?

You know, after 9/11, 14 or 15 of the terrorists came from Saudi Arabia. I mean we didn’t attack Saudi Arabia, we attacked Iraq. So it — it doesn’t make sense.

On Sunday, White House Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Adviser John Brennan said that either the “vice president or others have willfully mischaracterized President Obama’s position and actions or they’re just ignorant of the facts,” referring to Cheney’s comments that because of the failed Christmas Day bombing attempt, it was clear that Obama “is trying to pretend we are not at war.” In an op-ed today, Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ) writes that it’s “Cheney, not President Obama, who has misdiagnosed the problem and gotten us off track.”

2. I rarely agree with Ron Paul but I do on this issue, he is right on all counts. Including on the
fact that Obama's rhetoric is similar, if not the same, as Bush's.

3. Ron Paul has always been correct on the war(s)
in my opinion. I'm glad he's speaking out here.

4. No! Siding with Ron Paul! You must want Palin for President
I swear to Koresh, I had someone here slam me for mentioning that Paul teamed up with Sanders on legislation to order an audit of the Federal Reserve. "Ron Paul? He's nuts!" I tend to take the view that we form coalitions on particular issues upon which we do agree with those on the other side, often referred to a 'movement politics.'

8. I don't care a rats a$$ about Ron Paul or his politics but its nice to hear party base white noise
directed at Cheney and NOT coming from a Democrat. As for Palin, she's nothing more than a theatrical clown that continues to distract our attention off of the real pending issues.

9. I'm wondering why no one has speculated that Dick has gone off his rocker.
Seriously. He's sounding like a total crazy person spouting lies and ridiculous charges. He's not immune from senile dementia, after all.
