2. I personally don't like them
I don't like things downloading without my knowledge. I don't have a fast connection and I don't like to slow down my access.

3. Do you have a Google account?
Google Reader is better IMO. Excellent reader and you can access it from any PC or smart phone with any browser. Can't do that with live bookmarks. Headers are downloaded to a Google server so their not cluttering your hard drive.
