5. Yeah, seems like Ford's leadership...
...saw this coming. Ford took steps, and has emerged stronger. When GM & Chrysler were hat in hand, Ford was saying: "ya know, we don't think we'll need it, but the money COULD come in handy - set it aside just in case we're wrong."
So far, they're not wrong...

20. Whats helped ford as much as anything was when they made the decision
a couple decades ago to really improve their product. We have two '98 model fords, pickup and suv, that each have around 130,000 miles on them and cleaned up they still look like new. Still run that way, hardly any maintenance on either of them. On the pickup I'm still on the original brake pads and I've pulled a lot of trailers and hauled a bunch of heavy loads with it too. No tears in the seats or worn spots or any of that, no sagging doors or springs just all around just like they were when they were new 10 years ago, actually closer to 11 years. That ole bull about japan or europe builds a better vehicle is bull crap.

For instance check out what ford did with the jaguar while they owned it and what they've done with the volvo brand that they still own, both of which quality of the vehicles went up big time with fords acquisition. Jaguar is gone now and Volvo is on the chopping block but they are much improved from their time of ford ownership.

23. yes indeed - and their designs are catching up.
I remember Jaguars' quality jumping thru the roof after Ford started on them - didn't know about Volvo.
And now the design is getting up there too - the Fusion has been up there on a LOT of top 10 lists, and the Fusion Hybrid is getting raves everywhere.

6. The Ford stock is doing great
The President knew that they did not need assistance and could turn the company around without it. Obama and his economic team had the foresight to see that Ford was going to do well in the next few quarters.

is nonsense.

17. I've been told that Obama
took over the auto industry. Took complete socialistic control and now runs every aspect of the industry. They are now only building small electric cars that the public isn't buying and dumped all trucks and SUVs. Then he closed all the dealerships in red states.

:sarcasm:
