6. From your link...
you're dating yourself.

serfdom was de facto ended in France by Philip IV, Louis X (1315), and Philip V (1318).<1><2> With the exception of a few isolated cases, serfdom had ceased to exist in France by the 15th century.

2. These two items are both very near the top of my list
of things I don't fear at all.

But I went with AQ just to be polite.

10. With serfdom, we get to dress in cool serf gear and eat without utensils.

So I went with that.

3. BushCo killed more Americans than Al Qaeda. Think about it.
And then there are the countless civilians BushCo killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. The BushCo war criminals already sold their souls, so why would they care about that?

4. Perhaps you really mean Peonage? Feudalism isn't coming back.
But corporatism on the other hand...

8. Climate change and peak oil top the list, lack of healthcare is second, and
serfdom is tied into that. Since Al Qaeda doesn't exist it's not even something I spend any significant time thinking about. If we want to stop terrorism we just have to leave their countries and find green renewable solutions to our energy concerns (which address the first two and in part the rest as well).

9. I consider myself more of an indentured servant:
"An indentured servant was a laborer under contract to an employer for a fixed period of time, typically three to seven years, in exchange for their transportation, food, clothing, lodging and other necessities. Unlike slaves, an indentured servant was required to work only for a limited term specified in a signed contract."

In my case the limited term is until I'm old enough for Medicare.
