1. To be fair, Obama has adopted a lot of those fuck ups by continuing Bush's wars

13. Your point being that Obama himself is the master at this. You might be right
but you might not.

18. Not exactly
All I'm saying that many of Bush's initiatives didn't happen in a vacuum and now avowed policies of the US Govt, without respect to party affiliation.

Obama, were he to exempt his many Constitutional limitations, could make a lot of changes unilaterally.

Others would insure political suicide, like defying the MIlitary-Congressional-Industrial-Complex's exercises in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The military brass are holdovers from gang that stuck around and got promoted during Bush's reign. The way I see it, Obama s giving these hacks enough room to hang themselves.

All presidents have had to play this kind of political intrigue with the brass, Obama is no different.

Expect that failure in Afghanistan will give Obama the clout to demand their resignations and the advantage to shape military policy to a more likable one.

Also, I'm just amazed that so many folks are completely oblivious that Obama's positions and choices, in the absence of viable mass momentum in the opposite direction, are very much the natural outcome of him limitations.

If we want out of Iraq and Afghanistan, post haste, it's up to the people (everyone) to demand it with definite imperative.

2. You Just Noticed?
They've been doing it from day one. Difference is now they found some allies on this side...didn't get their pony and are happy to carry right wing water.

9. Works Well With Their Revisionism
Remember, accepting responsibility is a major sin for a rushpublican. According to them all was evil and bad until St. Raygun brought us all those years of "prosperity" (ya know, when interest rates were solidly at 10% and unemployment at 9%) and it was Clinton who got the credit. Also that 9/11 happened under Clinton and the financial collapse surely belongs to Obama. They'll never admit to their failures...all they care about is power and if lies justify the mean, so be it.

Happy New Year...

11. Bush's fuck ups belong to Bush. Not pursuing the soundest solutions to fix them, thats all Obama
Escalating a fuck up fixes it how? Continuing a fucked-up bailout program helped how?

12. After speaking with many of my RW, Mormon neighbors, it seems
that the "reason" they feel justified in blaming Obama, is that 2009 was the year all the Bush-shit hit the fan for them personally and they are unable and/or unwilling to recognize that their current unemployment, underwater mortgage, etc. is the result of decisions made in the previous admin. They didn't "feel" it till now, so it must be a "now" thing.

Add to that the further bank bailouts without qualifications, the bank bonuses, the insurance (health and AIG) bailouts (or about to be mandated bailout). . . they won't be swayed... it hurts now, it must be Obama's fault.

I'm not agreeing with their POV, just describing what they are holding onto.
