Is Karl Rove America's (And The World's) Cho ???
Not to minimize what happened at VT, nor the diseased mind of student Cho, but...

At least in a metaphorical sense, isn't the behavior of Rove toward Crow and David, similar to something you'd expect from someone who suffers from a massive persecution complex, and is using his power to strike out at others for perceived past wrongs? Whose behavior is totally inappropriate and over the top when compared to those perceived "attacks upon him"???

Just free-form thinkin here, but when I first read of Rove's reaction to Crow and David, I thought this is the same sort of sickness that that guy at Virginia Tech had.

Except that with Rove et. al., it's vengeance on a world stage, and is far more lethal, and has far more long-term and wide-ranging consequences.

Hoping not to offend here, but to understand.

Peace

You could hammer a few metaphors to force some parallels, but Sueng Cho was a sick individual and his atrocity is a little to fresh to permit clever plays on words for denegrating people you don't like.

(on edit) plus of course the scope of their damage isn't really comparable either. But I still see the comparison as inappropriate for now.

3. If you mean are they both creepy geeks that couldn't get laid
in high school and were thus bitter at the world, yes, there is a similarity. Cho, however, took out his rage on those he perceived as his persecutors. Rove on the other hand spends his whole life sucking up to and serving those who bullied him. He is devoid of a spine, pride, or a soul.

4. Persecution with good cause. Prosecution would be better
and electrocution if convicted

Poetic justice
